About SCC (Staff Selection Commission)

Staff Selection Commission is an industry supporting the Govt of India to hire workers for various jobs in the different Departments and Offices of the Govt of India and in Sub Offices. This commission is an attached agency of the Department of Personnel and Training. In Nov 1975 on the order of the Estimates Committee of Parliament and Regulatory Reforms Commission, the Indian Government appointed a Committee called the Subordinate Services Commission. In September 1977, the Subordinate Services Commission was renamed SSC(Staff Selection Commission).

Staff Selection Commission has its office located in New Delhi. Today, it has seven Local offices in Mumbai, Allahabad, Guwahati, Kolkata, Bangalore, and Chennai. It also has two Sub- Regional offices at Chandigarh and Raipur.

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) presents purposes as an independent body that is largely engaged in administering aggressive exams for recruitment to different posts in the SSC businesses, organizations. In the earlier years, SSC has led various exams such as Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level Examination (SSC CGL), SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam (SSC CHSL), Hindi Translator, Junior Engineer,  SSC GD Constable, Scientific Assistant Post, SSC Multitasking, Stenographer, Central Police Organization. for complete details visit the official website www.ssconline.nic.in
